Business Values

Conduct our business in a way that promotes fairness, honesty, integrity.

Work on the right things.
He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty. (Proverbs 28:19)

Know and keep watch on the business' condition.
Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds; for riches do not endure forever, and a crown is not secure for all generations. When the hay is removed and new growth appears and the grass from the hills is gathered in, the lambs will provide you with clothing, and the goats with the price of a field. You will have plenty of goats' milk to feed you and your family and to nourish your servant girls. (Proverbs 27:23-27)

Seek wisdom outside of ourselves. Seek God's wisdom.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. (Proverbs 3:5-7)
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. (James 1:5-6)
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. (James 3:17)
How much better to get wisdom than gold, to choose understanding rather than silver! (Proverbs 16:16)

Use wise decision-making techniques - Listen well, gain knowledge, be patient and consider all things before jumping in.
He who answers before listening-- that is his folly and his shame. (Proverbs 18:13)
The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge; the ears of the wise seek it out. (Proverbs 18:15)
The first to present his case seems right, till another comes forward and questions him. (Proverbs 18:17)

Seek wise council.
For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure. (Proverbs 11:14)
Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. (Proverbs 15:22)
Make plans by seeking advice; if you wage war, obtain guidance. (Proverbs 20:18)
For waging war you need guidance, and for victory many advisers. (Proverbs 24:6)

Be generous.
A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. (Proverbs 11:25)
He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses. (Proverbs 28:27)
Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act. (Proverbs 3:27)

Have proper motives.
All a man's ways seem right to him, but the LORD weighs the heart. (Proverbs 21:2)

Give into the Kingdom.
Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10)

Be humble and patient.
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:2-3)
Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; someone else, and not your own lips. (Proverbs 27:2)

Watch temper and anger. Do not let it disrupt doing our part right.
"In your anger do not sin" : Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. (Ephesians 4:26-27)
A man of knowledge uses words with restraint, and a man of understanding is even-tempered. (Proverbs 17:27)
A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control. (Proverbs 29:11)

Do not seek revenge. No "paybacks".
Do not say, "I'll pay you back for this wrong!" Wait for the LORD, and he will deliver you. (Proverbs 20:22)

Only speak what builds others up.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. (Ephesians 4:29)

Do not gossip.
He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. (Proverbs 17:9)
Without wood a fire goes out; without gossip a quarrel dies down. (Proverbs 26:20)

Forgive each other. Get back to "ground zero" quickly.
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32)

Make sure and do our part with excellence. Trust God to do his part.
The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD. (Proverbs 21:31)

Cover employees, employees' families, dealers, end users, vendors and other business partners in prayer.

Do not quarrel with others inside or outside of the company.
Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out. (Proverbs 17:14)
It is to a man's honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel. (Proverbs 20:3)
Without wood a fire goes out; without gossip a quarrel dies down. As charcoal to embers and as wood to fire, so is a quarrelsome man for kindling strife. (Proverbs 26:20-21)

Work effectively, with excellent follow-through.
All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. (Proverbs 14:23)

Be excellent at our jobs. Do the job well. Know what your are doing.
(Proverbs 18:9) Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve before kings; he will not serve before obscure men. (Proverbs 22:29)

Commit all we do to the Lord.
Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. (Proverbs 16:3)
